
Jacques (Jack) Q. Follweiler of Shiremanstown, Pa. died on May 21, 2011 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Allentown, Pa. on September 9, 1929, the son of the late Arnold and Bessie Follweiler. He was a graduate of Allentown High School Class of 1947 and Bliss Electrical School in Silver Springs, Md. He served in the U.S. Army Security Agency from 1950-1953 during the Korean War. He worked in the telecommunications industry for forty years until retiring in 1991. On May 5, 1956 he married Jane Kressly of Slatington, Pa. He was a member of the Mechanicsburg Presbyterian Church. He was an avid fisherman who built bamboo fly rods.
He is survived by his wife Jane of Shiremanstown, his son Jack, daughter-in-law Jane, grandsons Daniel and Jarrod of Frederick, Md., all of whom were his pride and joy. He is also survived by his brother Douglas Follweiler and wife Joanne of Springtown, Pa., sister-in-law Ann Lengel of Allentown, Pa., brother-in-law Arthur Kressly and wife Marian of Huntington Beach, Ca., a nephew Timothy Lengel, nieces Ardith Huesz, Mary Francone, Dejah Petsch, Jaelieth Jewell, and their families.
Arrangements will be handled by the Auer Cremation Services of Pennsylvania. There will be a memorial service in the Mechanicsburg Presbyterian Church on Saturday, May 28 at 11:00 A.M.
