James (Jim) E. Good, 67, of Lower Paxton Township passed away on January 25, 2025. Jim was born October 2, 1957, in Harrisburg, PA. He was the fourth of six children to John R. Good and Cynthia K. Good (Holtz). Jim was predeceased by his parents, brother John H. Good, and infant daughter Jessica L. Good.
Jim is survived by son Joshua Good (Laura) of Harrisburg and daughter Megan Good of Lower Paxton Township; three grandsons - Julian, Jaxon, and Jeren Good; sisters Janice Triestman of Middletown, Judith Bouder (Toby) of Liverpool, and Jeri Zerance (Richard) of Southport, NC; and brother Jeffrey Good (Sheila) of Lower Paxton Township.
Jim was a 1975 graduate of Harrisburg High School. He had a talent for pen and ink drawings, with a particular interest in fantasy themes, caricatures, and landscapes, many of which he displayed at local arts festivals while in his twenties and thirties. An avid comic book fan, his hero Jack Kirby’s influence could be seen in many of Jim’s creations. That comic book love carried into time spent with his grandchildren, as Jim frequently enjoyed seeing the latest Marvel movie with his family. Jim also loved attending rock concerts with his brother. Jim always looked forward to family gatherings, where he easily got everyone laughing with his quick wit. He enjoyed his colleagues and his job at Lesher Natural Stone, Quartz, & Tile in Middletown, PA, often discussing his favorite stone and designs with his family in his off-hours.
Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life at the Prairie Fire Farms Foundation, Inc. farmhouse at 201 Angle Road, Grantville, PA, 17028, on Saturday, March 1, 2025, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. The family encourages attendees to dress casually, as Jim was not one to stand on ceremony and loved his “party shirts” for get togethers. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Prairie Fire Farms Foundation, Inc.
