Born March 12, 1927, in New Castle, he was the son of the late James B. and Cora May (Imhoff) Clark. Jim was a veteran of WWII.
When Jim's beloved wife, Ruth, passed in 1983, Jim wrapped his arms around his children and began a family business. Jim was the President of Specialty Metallurgical Products Co., Inc, of Red Lion. Jim revolutionized the aluminum smelting industry by creating the first 100% Titanium Grain Refining Tablet. Jim was born during the Great Depression and thus lived a very conservative life. He was gravely concerned over the world's natural resources. The invention of his little 1-ounce Titanium Tablet has saved our world billions in natural resources.
Jim was a remarkable man, loved and respected by all who knew him. He was everyone's champion, always guiding us to a better way of life. His greatest gifts were his family. His most cherished treasures, his grandchildren. He felt there was nothing more important in life, than the warmth of your hand.
Jim is survived by his loving family and his children, a son, Jeff Clark of Windsor; a daughter, Patricia Clark-Stauffer and her husband David Stauffer of York; a son, James B. Clark and wife, Wanita (Lightner) Clark of Red Lion.
Jim's grandson "Jimmy" Clark is being treated at the Hershey Medical Center and has received great support from Penn State's Four Diamond Fund. Jimmy recently ran a fundraiser for the Fund, "Poker with Jimmy". To honor our father's wishes, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Four Diamonds Fund. (Checks should be made payable to Penn State), and mailed to: Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Penn State College of Medicine, Office of University Development and Alumni Relations, A120, P.O. Box 852, Hershey, PA 17033-0852.
The family would like to thank all of our family and friends for touching our hearts and enriching our souls.
A service will be held at the Miola Cemetery in Clarion, PA at a future date.
