

Born July 1, 1933 in Waynesboro, PA he was the son of the late Ralph G. Nugent and and Mary Mildah McFerren Nugent.
Jim was a 1951 graduate of Hagerstown High School and attended St. Andrew Catholic Church of Waynesboro, PA.
Jim was employed at Noland Company, Hagerstown, MD for most of his career, retiring as Branch Manager in 1996 after 41 years of employment. He was a veteran serving in the Navy during the Korean conflict. Jim was an avid hunter and outdoorsman throughout his life and traveled extensively on hunting excursions, enjoyed antiquing and collectibles, woodworking and could fix nearly anything. He also was an avid music fan, faithful New York Yankees fan and enjoyed his companion cat, Buffy. But most of all, he adored his family and especially his granddaughters and grandsons.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Lois Ann (Yingling) Nugent; three daughters, Kimberly A. Monn of Pine, CO, Mickki M. Long and Jennifer J. Webster and her husband, Larry W. Webster, all of Greencastle, PA; 5 grandchildren, Karinne J. Monn of Englewood, CO, Kaylee B. Monn of Littleton, CO, Micaela S. Monn of Pine, CO and Dalton C. Webster and Elijah J. Webster of Greencastle, PA.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Jeanne M. Jones and Constance A. Burkett and her husband, Richard L. (Dick) Burkett of Hagerstown, MD and Nancy K. Wisherd of Smithsburg, MD and one son-in-law, Benjamin R. (Mike) Monn of Pine, CO.
Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
