Born October 27, 1953, in Harrisburg, he was a son of Charles W. and Clara A. (Kovaschetz) Kohler.
James was a member of Lower Allen VFW Post #7530; American Legion Post #2014, Fairview Township; the Keystone Reptile Club; and was a lifetime member of Fairview Township Fire Co. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Kenneth E. Kohler, and a sister, Diane J. Boust.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
