Jean P. Jacoby

at Green Ridge Village, Newville, PA.

Born August 22, 1933 in Norfolk, VA daughter of Leary S Petty and Ida M Russell.

Jean grew up in Virginia Beach, VA and graduated from Kempsville High School and worked for the US Navy until her marriage in September 1952 to William K Jacoby.

After settling in Carlisle, PA, she worked in the office at Masland Carpets and

after having a family, worked at Carlisle Area School District where she was

Secretary-to-the Principal at the Swartz building until her retirement. She enjoyed

Sewing, gardening, working puzzles, reading and traveling with her husband and friends, and additionally loved spending time with her grandchildren and attending their school activities.

Surviving are 2 daughters Nancy E Jacoby, Carlisle, PA and Carol J Dodson(Ray) of Myrtle Beach, SC. ; Half-brother, Leary S Sink of Kill Devil Hills, NC; Cousin, Patricia

Petty of Stafford, VA; Granddaughters , Christie Sizer (Kevin) of Sterling, VA; Nicole Delcid (Reckson) of Herndon, VA; five great-grandchildren, Liliana, Riana,

Violet, Ronin and Rylan; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Frances Bjornberg,

Half-sister, Claudia, and her loving husband, William K Jacoby.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday June 15, 2024 at 11:00 am

at First Presbyterian Church, 2A North Hanover Street, Carlisle, PA with

Rev. Anthony D. Lorenz and Rev. Philip Bjornberg co-officiating. A reception will

be held following the service.

Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
