Joan was married to Henry G. Diffenderfer on July 23, 1944 and together they raised six children and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two of their sons, Nelson and Henry, Jr. and two grandsons, Cheyenne and David, Jr.
She is survived by her devoted husband; four children, Lydia Girard, David, Linda Williams and Terry; many grandchildren; great grandchildren; and a great great granddaughter.
In addition to being a loving wife, mother and grandmother, Joan was an active member of the community and of the Halifax congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Joan touched many lives and she will be forever loved and missed by all who knew her.
A memorial services will be held Saturday April 18, 2015. 2:00 PM in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 60 S. River Rd, Halifax, PA 17032, with dear firend and Elder, Mason Grunden officiating.
