Joan Elizabeth Kelsay

Born June 10th,1931 in West Chester Pa, she was the daughter of John and Julia Fanning of West Chester Pa. Joan’s grandparents were John and Elizabeth Prekup of Coatsville Pa. Joan was a graduate of Bishop Shanahan HS in West Chester and served her country honorably in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War era. She retired from Wyeth Laboratories where she worked for 30 years. She loved her Philadelphia Phillies. She loved the outdoors and traveling.

Surviving are her loving children Karen and Son in law Robert Mcelyea of Port Trevorton Pa. Her four sons Mark Kelsay of Exton Pa. Michael Kelsay and wife Clara of Anchorage Ak. Charles Kelsay of Gap Pa. Colin Kelsay of Springfield Pa.

Preceded in death by granddaughter Christine Love Sheller of West Chester. Survived by granddaughters Mary Ellen Kelsay of Seattle Washington, and Laura Lee Kelsay of Anchorage Ak. Also survived by many other grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Joan was preceded in death by brothers Jack Fanning , Joe Fanning, Jimmy Fanning and sister Judith Spector.

Our Dear Mother passed to the Lord in peace and comfort. She will be missed and forever loved deep within our hearts and memories.

Service and memorial will be held private . The family wishes to thank the wonderful caregivers during her time of need.
