
Mr. Sibley served in the US Army during WWII in the 10th Mountain Division in Colo.
He attended Meadowbrook School, Chestnut Hill Academy and the University of Pennsylvania, Class of 1945. He was a member of the Zeta Psi Fraternity. His first position after college was at the Saturday Evening Post followed by SmithKline and French, where he met his first wife, Julia D. Janeway. She died in 1972. He held positions in advertising and public relations at Wyeth, Merck and Astra-Zeneca.
He is survived by his wife of 37 yrs, Shirley (Cook) Sibley; daughter, Mariah Wolffe (Douglas) of Haverford, PA; step-daughters, Blake Chandler (James) of Kennett Square, PA, Amy H. Szvetec (Charles) of Cumming, GA; step-son, Robert B. Heiserman III (James Brinkley) of Hingham, MA; grandchildren, George and Julia Wolffe, Ryan, Sydney and Zachary Szvetec; sister, Judith Hennessey of Pluckeim, NJ; and sisters-in-law, Mrs. Sally Brown of Birmingham, AL, Mrs. Jay Gilbreath of Atlanta, GA and Mrs. Augustine Rhodes of Princeton, NJ.
A graveside memorial will take place later in the Fall.
