John Stewart, age 76, of Middletown, passed away Thursday, June 19, 2025 at Lebanon VA Medical Center. Born August 12, 1948 in Los Angeles, CA, he was the son of the late Freda Lucille (Timmerman) Hickman and Emmett Hickman Sr.
In 1966, John was drafted into the army. He was a roofer by trade and a member of the Dominic D. DiFrancesco Memorial American Legion Post 594. He was an avid reader of anything in print and he enjoyed doting upon his many fur babies.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia F. (Collins) Stewart, with whom he celebrated 38 years of marriage, sisters Evelyn “Lyn” Cain, wife of Ray, Middletown and Nancy Lane, wife of Steve, South Carolina. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Emmett Hickman Jr. and sister Sharon Romich.
Memorial services are private, at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
