Born November13, 1921, he was the son of late Francesco and Pambla Gravino. He was the founder of Joe Gravino's Body and Paint Shop, Penbrook, Pa., which today is owned and operated by his son. In 1991, Joe retired from Erie Insurance.
He was an avid golfer and former member of Hershey Country Club, Colonial Country Club and The Italian Lodge. A WWII U.S. army veteran, he was a member of VFW Post 3502.
He is survived by his son Joseph A. Gravino, Jr (wife Cindy), daughter Jennine Fager Shoemaker (husband Max), stepdaughter, Vicky Eby Yingst, stepsons Craig Eby, four grandchildren, six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Joseph was preceded in death by his wife Shirley Eby Gravino, brothers John Gravino, Nicholas (Nick) Gravino and Anthony (Tony) Gravino.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Hershey Cemetery.
