Larraine Jones

Larraine Jones, a cherished resident of Lower Paxton Township passed away peacefully on March 16, 2025 at the age of 82 years old at Oak Hill Village in Middletown, PA. Born on November, 5, 1942, Larraine was the only child of Frederick and Pearl Kohler who preceded her in death. Larraine was also preceded in death by her beloved husband of more that 50 years, Donald E. Jones. She is survived by sister-in law Nancy M. Jones and several nieces and nephews.

Larraine, a dedicated civil servant was a retiree of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania where she served as a secretary for the majority of her career. She was a lifetime member of Salem Lutheran Church where she was active with the Joy Workers Sunday School Class and enjoyed quilting with the other ladies of the church. Larraine was also an avid reader and loved to read and share the Gospel of our Lord during Sunday morning service.

Services will be held at Salem Lutheran Church in Oberlin, PA, on Friday, April 11, 2025. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 am with burial to follow at Shoops Cemetery. After services are concluded there will be a meal at the church for friends and family to gather.
