Llewellyn M. Marchman Snyder

Llewellyn M. Snyder, 84, of Mechanicsburg, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 4, 2016.

Born March 3, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Henry G. and Dorothy E. Marchman of Savannah, GA. She was a registered nurse graduating from Duke University's Nursing program in 1954. Llewellyn nursed early in her career, then focused on raising her 5 children, and returned to nursing at what is now the HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Mechanicsburg, retiring in 1994. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Llewellyn is survived by her husband, David L. Snyder, of Mechanicsburg, PA, her daughter, Cathy S. Bintliff of Barto, PA and her son Michael D. Snyder of Downingtown, PA, her son David B. Snyder (Janice M.) of New Cumberland, PA, daughter-in-law Alice M. Bower of Fayetteville, NY, as well as 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by 2 of her sons, Gary L. Snyder and Thomas E. Snyder.

A funeral service with burial in the Church’s on-site Columbarium is scheduled for Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 2:00 PM at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 117 W Keller St., Mechanicsburg, PA, with a reception to follow in Fellowship Hall of the Church. Pastor Randall Marburger will officiate. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Llewellyn’s life. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church or the charity of your choice.
