Louanna Varishone

She was the beloved wife of the late Benjamin Varishone.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Arthur J. Zimmerman and Edna (Brownmiller) Zimmerman.

Louanna was a 1946 graduate of Shillington High School.

While residing in West Lawn, Louanna volunteered for many organizations, including The Pennsylvania Junior Miss Scholarship Program, serving as state chairman and The Berks County Federation of Woman’s Club, serving as president.

Ben and Lou moved to Edgewater Florida in 1988, enjoying many activities with their friends and neighbors. She was the President of the New Smyrna Beach Woman’s Club for 8 years and also organized the Volusia County Junior Miss Scholarship Program, serving as chairman for 3 years.

Louanna is survived by her daughters, Cynthia, wife of Ralph Mohler, Reamstown and Lisa, wife of Jed Habecker, Mohnton. She was predeceased by a daughter, Marcia (Latshaw) Baker.

Louanna is survived by a brother, Raymond Zimmerman, Wernersville. She was predeceased by a brother, Arthur S. Zimmerman, and two sisters, Betty Ziegler and Pauline, wife of James Kantner.

There are also 9 grandchildren: Glenn Latshaw, Derik Latshaw, Nicholas Habecker, Jennifer (Habecker) Perry, Regan (Burn) Rishel, Jobriath Burn, Jameson Burn and Corey Mohler. She was predeceased by a grandson, Benjamin Lucas.

There are 8 great grandchildren: Samantha, Ethan, Maci, Liam, Hunter, Skylor, Phoenix and Thomas.
