Lydia A. Boughner

Mrs. Boughner was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Order of the Eastern Star, Wyoming Chapter No. 1, she received the R.S.V.P. Certificate of Merit for Registered Volunteers of Allied Services Volunteer with over 1500 hours and earned several appreciation awards, including Volunteer of the Month at the Wilkes-Barre Campus of Allied Services.

Mrs. Boughner enjoyed hobbies such as fishing, gardening, home preserving and canning. She also bred Dachshunds.

Mrs. Boughner is survived by her daughter, Lydia Irene Murphy, and husband Kevin Joseph; granddaughters, Shanna, Kelsey and Rhiannon Murphy and Trista Boughner and Shannon Watson of Michigan; grandson, Ray Boughner of Newton, Texas, great-grandsons, Dylan Cordick and Owen Burke; and Brother, Robert Weitz.

Along with her parents, Lydia is preceded in death by brothers, William Jr., Paul, Jack and George Weitz; and sisters, Norma Flemming and Margeret Eddy.

A memorial service will be held July 30, 2012 at 6pm at First Presbyterian Church in the parlor, 97 S. Franklin St., Wilkes-Barre, 18701.
