
Margaret B. Brandt, age 91, of Fayetteville, PA, formally of Camp Hill, passed away on Tuesday October 16, 2012 in the Village of Laurel Run. Born April 26, 1921 in Shanghai, China, she was the daughter of the late Joel Hoffman Black and Lucy Hayes Eslinger Black.
- A graduate of Camp Hill High School, she attended the University of Cincinnati and was graduated from the Maryland Institute of Art in Baltimore. Mrs. Brandt went on to serve in the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1945. She was employed by the Hydrographic Department, Washington DC and the PA Bureau of Publications and Paperwork Management, retiring in 1986. Mrs. Brandt was a loving mother, gifted artist and greatly enjoyed gardening.
- Surviving are her children, John G. Brandt of Seattle, WA; Elaine B. Marin of Eastlake, OH; William T. Brandt of Palm Bay, FL; Stephen C. Brandt of Gettysburg, PA; six grandchildren; one great grandchild, and a sister, Joanna Boettner of Corning NY. In addition she is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Also preceding her in death was her husband, William Dudley Brandt in 1973.
- Services and internment will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to Auer Cremation Services of PA, Inc., Harrisburg, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter, 2325 Country Rd., Chambersburg, PA 177202.
