Mary Louise Wolfe

Mary Louise Wolfe, March 27,1945 - March 27, 2024 of State College, PA, 79, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 on her birthday. Born on March 27, 1945 in Bellefonte, PA she was the daughter of the late John and Margaret (Northamer) Stem.

She is survived by three sons, Lynn Stem of State College, Ronald (Mickey) Sheffer of Bellefonte and Michael (Melissa) Sheffer of Reedsville; Five grandchildren, Trevor Stem, Timothy Stem (Miranda), Shelby (Jared) Stem all of Bellefonte, Hannah Stem of Philipsburg and Cassie Drumheller of Rebuck. Three great grandchildren, Lily Weaver, Chance Lose and Emma King all of Bellefonte. Six siblings, Janet Lucas of Mt. Eagle, John Stem, Jim (Colleen) Stem, Doris White all of Bellefonte; Judy (Gary) Bays of Seminole, FL and Joyce (Barry) Cowher of State College. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she was predeceased by an infant son, Robert (Bobby) and a grandson, Nash Walker and the love of her life, Raymond Dean.

Mary was very easy going with a ready smile for everyone and was a social butterfly. She had a wonderful sense of humor but could be stubborn, too! She absolutely LOVED Elvis and collected Elvis memorabilia. She loved the color purple, chinese food and chocolate. She loved to dance and always took great care with her appearance - always having her nails painted, her hair done, lipstick, jewelry and perfume. She loved to color, word search puzzles, planting flowers, and calling Bingo. She was a woman of great faith and loved the Lord. Most of all, she loved her family.

In honoring her wishes, a "Celebration of Life" will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024 from 11:00 - 1:00 p.m. at the Zion Community Church, 3261 Zion Road, Bellefonte with Pastor Dean of God's Eternal Life Church officiating. Family and friends are asked to bring a covered dish for the luncheon following the service.

A special thanks to Dr. Kovaleski and the staff at MNMC for their outstanding care in keeping Mary comfortable. Also, to her sister Janet Lucas who has been managing her care for the last 24 years.
