She was born in Houston, Texas on June 24, 1929 to the late Henry A. and Cecelia (Breland) Tryon. She was the widow of Granville Cooper, Jr.
June and “Coop” were members of the Devonshire United Methodist Church. She was an avid league bowler, achieved the “600 club” status, and bowled on a Pennsylvania State team.
June loved people. She had an amazing gift of encouragement and hospitality. She adored her family and friends and always put other’s needs before her own. She instilled a love for music in her children. As a single mother, she raised 5 children on a waitress’ income. Though money was tight, love was always abundant. She retired after 10 years from PA Department of Transportation. Despite the last 9 years of physical pain, June continued to bless and encourage everyone that she met. Perhaps most important was her love for Jesus. We are comforted to know that she is now singing praises to Him.
Surviving are daughters: Judy Brevik,Sharon Reed and husband, Craig; Cecelia Foreman and husband, Ken; Patti Carlson and husband, Rick ; son, Bruce Campbell; 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Including her parents and husband, preceding her in death are her 2 brothers, Henry and Charles Tryon.
