Muriel S. Wright

Muriel Wright, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, was born on November 14, 1959, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, to the late Marjorie Porter and James T. Allen. She peacefully departed this life surrounded by love and family.

Muriel was a proud graduate of Bishop McDevitt High School, Class of 1979. After high school, she pursued her passion for beauty by attending beauty school and also embraced her elegance and poise by modeling for Barbizon.

Muriel had a warm and vibrant spirit. She found joy in music, cooking, and laughter, and she especially loved watching BET. Her presence lit up every room, and her laughter was contagious.

Muriel was preceded in death by her parents, her cherished daughter Jennise Harris, and her siblings Curtis Wright, Prudence Clark, and Marilyn Coley.

She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband of 43 years, William Jones of Harrisburg, PA; her loving children: Richard Wright and his wife Tasha of New Cumberland, PA; Janeil Wright and Michael Wright, both of Harrisburg, PA. She is also survived by her sisters Pamela Porter-Lomax of Harrisburg, PA, and Catherine Moses of Darlington, SC. Muriel’s legacy lives on through her two granddaughters, six grandsons, and a host of other relatives and friends who will forever hold her in their hearts.

Muriel’s life was one of strength, love, and grace. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
