Rhoda Mae Smallwood, 77, of Hanover, PA, joined the Lord in her forever home on June 30, 2025, shortly after her diagnosis of advanced pancreatic cancer. She passed in the comfort of her home with her loved ones near-by.
Rhoda was born on September 6, 1947, to the late Jacob S. Sensenig and Martha K. Myer Sensenig Shelly in New Providence, PA. She spent most of her life being a caregiver to all and sharing God’s grace. She enjoyed time spent with her family and friends, loving on her grandbabies every chance she got and teaching everyone she could about Gods sacrifice and love right till the end. She also enjoyed her time in the pool at the YMCA in Hanover, where she would take her grandkids and spend time with friends. When she was at home she would be found taking care of her husband Ron, enjoying her abundance of beautiful plants or working on some project, and at 5 o'clock she liked to sit with her husband and enjoy scenery & scripture to hymns on the TV. You could always count on her to be a helping hand when needed and she was always teaching others a better way to do things, and almost always was right. She was truly loved by everyone she knew and will be greatly missed.
Rhoda is survived by her husband of 37 years Ronald E. Smallwood; her children, Eldon L. Baum Jr., Twila L. Baum, Roger L. Baum, and Jon T. Smallwood (LeighAnna); her two step-daughters, Lori A.
