
Born February 21, 1945, in Harrisburg, PA, he was the son of the late Raymond C. Thompson
Sr. and Helen (Brooker)Thompson. He was retired from Polk Assisted Living Facility in
Millersburg where he worked for 10 years. He also worked for Acme and Pathmark for many
years and also R. F. Beyers as a salesman. He enjoyed hunting and going to the Casino.
Surviving are his wife Lois Thompson, daughter-in-law Jodi Thompson, three grandsons; Cody
(Maura) Thompson, Zach (Tori) Thompson, and Cameron Thompson; 6 sisters, Mary, Darlene,
Cheryl, Joyce, Peg, and Candy; 3 brothers, Raymond Jr., Jack, and Don; and many nieces and
nephews. In addition to his parents, Richard was predeceased by son Richard E. Thompson
Jr., son Brian L. Thompson, two of his sisters, Joanne and Eve, and three of his brothers, Bob,
Jim, and Wayne.
Memorial service will be at the family’s discretion. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Richards
memory may be made to Homeland at Home Hospice, 2300 Vartan Way, Suite 270, Harrisburg,
PA 17110. The family wishes to thank the wonderful caregivers at Homeland at Home Hospice.
