Richard J Zeiders, Sr. of Etters, Pa. Passed away Sept.13 at Life Care of Mech. He was born Aug 14, 1917 and raised by the late Simon and Ada Zeiders of Highspire, Pa. Richard graduated from Highspire High then joined the US Army and served in WWII. He retired from local 542 Operating Engineers of Phila., worked for local 77 out of Sparks, Md.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Ruth Zeiders. He is survived by his wife Diane Zeiders. His son, Richard Zeiders Jr (Judy)of Duncannon, daughter, Deb Donmoyer (Dennis)of Delaware, 7 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.
Richard was a member of Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Scottish Rite of Hbg., Robert Burns Lodge 0464, President of 542 retirees for 15 yrs. Post 974, Fairview Township.
He loved traveling to Ormond Beach Fl. and Rehobeth Beach DE. Richard was a Patriot News carrier for 12 yrs with his wife Diane.
