

Robert C. “Bob” Ranck, Sr., 63, of Paradise, PA, passed away Friday, August 14, 2015, at the PHS West Shore Hospital, Mechanicsburg. Bob will be lovingly missed by his wife of 39 years, Dolores “Dodie” (Garver) Ranck.
Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Robert E. and Maude E. Ranck.
In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by a son, Robert C. Ranck, Jr.' daughter, Tammy and husband Leonard Crawford, III; 5 grandchildren, Ashley, Whitney, Owen and Robert “CJ” Ranck and Anna Crawford; mother-in-law, Joanne Garver Sodora; and sister, Marlene and husband Charles Lefever.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Lawrence Amway, husband of Bernice Amway.
Bob attended Carson Long Military Academy and graduated in 1970 from Valley Forge Military Academy. He spent most of his working years as a truck driver. He was a member of the Welsh Mountaineers, Lancaster County Fireman's Association, Gap VFW Post #7418, New Holland American Legion Post #299, and the Morris Rod and Gun Club. He was a lifetime member of the Harley's Owners Group. Bob previously served as a member of the Paradise Leaman Place Fire Company, Station 47. He enjoyed telling trucking stories, riding his motorcycle, reading, spending time in the mountains and agitating his many friends.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
