Born in New Kensington, he was a son of the late Florence E. and Robert M. Johnston, Jr.
Bobby is survived by a sister, Mary Barr; nephew, Steven Bowman; niece, Kristen Bowman; and grandnephew, Max Bowman.
He retired from Bethlehem Steel and was a faithful member of VFW Post #1718.
Inurnment will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
