Robert B. Mull

Bob passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday November 20, 2024 with his beloved wife, Eva, and family by his side. He was 85 years old.

Born in Harrisburg on February 10, 1939, the son of Amos Leroy and Mary (Ganse) Mull he was the youngest of three children. Bob was raised in Harrisburg and graduated from William Penn High School in 1957.

After graduation he was employed as a clerk with the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board. It was during this time that he met his future wife, Eva Markle, whom he would lovingly spend the next sixty-two years with.

He later went on to work as a corrections officer at Dauphin County Prison before joining the Lower Paxton Township Police Department in 1969. Bob was a well-respected member of the department and community he served always willing to help young officers and citizens alike. His belief and practice of treating everyone with decency and fairness were key to this respect. Bob served the citizens of Lower Paxton Township honorably for 27 years, retiring in 1996.

Bob was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Church and life long resident of Linglestown, affectionately referred to by many as “Mayor”, where he coached baseball for the Linglestown Baseball Association.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Amos Leroy and Mary Mull. Brother, Warren Mull, and sister, Ida Boyle.

In addition to his wife, Eva, he is survived by three sons. Robert “Tony” Mull of Duncannon; Michael (Brenda) Mull of Harrisburg; David (Dawn) Mull of Palmyra.

Seven grandchildren: Robert “TJ” (Brittany) Mull; Matthew Mull; Cheri (Miles) Finton; Samantha Mull; Sydnee Mull; Marissa Mull and Jocelynn Mull.

Two great grandchildren: Robert “Anthony” and Hayden Mull.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at Cremation and Burial Society of Pennsylvania, Inc., 4100 Jonestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17109. Visitation is from 10:00 am – 11:00 am. A Memorial service will be held beginning at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Final resting place will be at Resurrection Cemetery.
