
Bob was born November 17, 1922, in New Brunswick, NJ, one of the three children of the late Rudy and Nellie (Weber) Seaker.
He graduated from St. Peter's Parochial School and St. Peter's High School, both in New Brunswick, and enrolled in Mt. St. Mary's College, Emmitsburg, MD. In 1943, he enlisted in the US Army and served as a rifleman in the 75th Division. At the end of hostilities, he was recruited by the USO to play piano in an army band entertaining the American servicemen in France and Germany.
After the war, Bob returned to Mt. St. Mary's and received a B.S. Degree in 1948, followed by a J.D. Degree from the Catholic University School of Law in Washington, DC, in 1952.
In 1949, he was married to Eileen Mary Rodgers in St. Francis of Assisi Church in Harrisburg. While working for Nationwide Insurance in Delaware County, he was admitted to the PA Bar. After being transferred to Harrisburg, Bob was Assistant Attorney General and Contract Officer for the PA Dept. of Education.
Bob enjoyed playing piano; traveling extensively with his children and his wife, who was his partner in recreational ballroom dancing for over 60 years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters and their husbands, Meg Seaker of British Columbia, Canada, Dr. Eileen Carrello of State College, PA, and Barbara Yurovich of Middletown, PA; two sons, Dr. Robert F. Seaker, Jr. and his wife of Hayesville, NC, and Thomas Seaker, Chief USN RES RET of Minersville, PA; sister, Helen Oliver of Cape May, NJ; five grandchildren; two great grandsons; and by several nieces and nephews.
Services will be private and burial will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
