

He was born on May 28th, 1934, the only child of Harvey and Elva (nee Martin) Schiller of Oak Harbor.
He graduated from Oak Harbor High School in 1952, and earned his degree from the University of Toledo College of Engineering, and graduate degree in Kansas. He devoted his career to teaching engineering at Penn State (Harrisburg Campus), retiring from the School of Science, Engineering, and Technology as an Associate Professor in 1990. He was a devoted Christian and active member of Grace United Methodist Church of Lemoyne, PA. He enjoyed good friends and loved playing the piano. Although he never married, he leaves behind family members who enjoyed his company, his jokes and sense of humor, including: Opal (nee Schiller) Bristow (Shelby) of Port Clinton, OH, and her son Norman Bristow(Sally), and her daughter Sharon (Tom) Smith; also, Dora Schiller (Myron) of Oak Harbor, OH, and her children, Todd Schiller and Claire (Paul) Smith. We give thanks for his life and his new life with his heavenly Father.
A memorial service is planned for Friday, March 11, 2011 at 11:00am at the Grace United Methodist Church, located at 309 Herman Avenue, Lemoyne, PA. The service is open to all who would like to attend.
