Ronald F. Boal

Ronald “Bud” F. Boal, age 91 of State College passed on Wednesday, July 3, 2024; born on Friday, June 23, 1933, son of the late John F. Boal and Florence H. (Houser) Boal; beloved husband of Nancy (Spotts) Boal; loving father of Colleen R. (Jim) Boal Small and Allen L. Boal; Cherished Pappy of Amy L. Small, Tania Boal, Mitchell Boal and six great-grandchildren.

Bud was a 1951 graduate of State College Area High School. He married Nancy, the love of his life, in 1952 and spent the next 72 years building their lives together. He served his country in the United States Air Force and went on to become the owner of Boal’s Clover Farm Store in Lemont. In 1965, he went to work for Claster’s Lumber Company as a lumber purchasing agent in Bellefonte until his retirement in 1995. Bud was also a member of the American Legion # 245 and the Elks Lodge # 1600 of State College, PA.

Honoring Bud’s wishes services will be private. If desired, memorial contributions may be made in Bud’s memory to Paws of Centre County or UPMC Family Hospice, Altoona, PA.
