Ronald N. Martin

Ronald N. Martin, Sr. passed away surounded by family Feb 9th 2018. Ron was born April 16, 1934 to Katherine and Nelson Martin. Ron graduated from Wilson High School Class of 1953. Entered the U.S. Army after graduation til 1956 stationed in Hawaii. Retired from Met Ed after 32 years. In retirement was an ASA umpire for 25 years. Ron also played softball til the age of 75 and coached youth spors. Loyal member of the Moose Lodge and IBEW Union.

Survived by his loving wife Gail Ihrie Savitz Martin of 43 years. In addition survived by sister Dawn Kropf of Palmer Twp. Daughter Tracie Hall, Son Ronald N. Martin Jr. Step children Renee Sommo & husband Daniel, Michael Savitz & wife Elaine, Michelle Linscott & husband Michael, Rhonda Mann & fiance Donald Genovese. Grandchildren Erica, Kimberley, Robert, Chuck, Nick, Tim, Danny, Julie, Douglas, Jamie, Oivia, Ashley, Sydney, Kailyn along with 8 Great Grandchildren.

Ron enjoyed hunting, fishing, story telling and golf. Ron and Gail enjoyed wintering in the Dunedin FL, Home. Ron was a lifelong Phillies and Eagles fan. In lieu of flowers please support Children's youth sports.

Celebration of life for all to share will be arranged by family for April 14th 2018.
