Rosalie Ann Polansky

Rosalie (Rosie) Ann Polansky passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2018. She was born in New Philadelphia, PA on April 1, 1942 to Francis and Margaret (Tamashasky) Burke. She was predeceased by her loving husband Francis (Frankie) Polansky. After living in New Philadelphia and overcoming a major health obstacle, Rosie moved to Harrisburg, PA, where she was supported by her daughter and son-in-law, Judith and Bill Dooley, and lived on her own happily for 21 years. In Harrisburg, Rosie was a volunteer at St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church, belonged to the Coffee Cup and the Legion of Mary. Rosie often visited and traveled with her sister, Nancy McGee and her husband, daughter, and grandchildren. Rosie was well-known for befriending and uplifting the spirits of everyone around her. She always had a smile on her face and a story to tell. The time Rosie spent with her family and friends was always filled with laughter. Rosie will also be remembered for her love of angels. Rosie is survived by her two daughters, Judith Dooley (Bill) and Margaret Ann Albanesius (Brett). The times Rosie spent with her two daughters were the happiest and most joyful times of her life. At the time this obituary was written, Rosie wanted them to know that she loved them more than anything. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church, 4000 Derry Street, Harrisburg PA, 17111, on Thursday, April 19th at 11am. A visitation will be held from 9:30am until the time of the mass. A luncheon will follow shortly after the services. In lieu of flowers, Rosie would like donations made to St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church in her memory.
