

Born May 24, 1939 in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late Arlene Rumberger, on whose birthday Rose passed.
Rose was a 1957 graduate of William Penn High School, Harrisburg. She worked at Hollywood Casino for the last 4 years, after working at Truckstops of America for over 30 years.
“Roro” enjoyed reading, going to yard sales, cooking and baking. She was famous for her spaghetti sauce and her vinegar cake. Roro loved the music of Fats Domino and Bill Black’s Combo. Mostly she loved taking care of people and helping them even when she needed help herself.
Surviving are her son, Donald (Jackie) Dawson; daughters, Tina (Roger) Fornstrom, and Vicki Stoner; grandchildren, Mike (Jessica), AJ, Carina, Riley, Morgan, and Mya; great grandsons, Kasen and Liam; sisters, Janice and Pat; and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Roro’s life will be held 12-4:00pm, Saturday, July 19, 2014 at Penbrook Legion 3813 Walnut St. Harrisburg PA 17109.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Rose’s name to Hospice of Central PA, 1320 Linglestown Rd. Harrisburg, PA 17110.
