He retired from Norfolk Southern as a car repairman. He was a union member of TWU Local 2016 and a member of the Loyal Order of the Millerstown Moose since 1978. He enjoyed hunting with his son and his brothers. They also raised pheasants for a short time. He also enjoyed trout fishing with his son and ex-father-in-law (now deceased) and helping raise trout at a fish hatchery as a member of the sportsman's club. He also enjoyed babysitting his grandkids.
Surviving are: son Eric and daughter-in-law Lori; grandchildren Kristi and Cole; sisters Janet Lukens, Shirley Haines and Ann Byers; and brothers Ralph and Stanley.
He was preceded in death by: his father James Franklin Beaver; mother Kathryn Beaver; brothers Glenn and James I Lee, Lynn and John; sisters Mildred Cofflin and Maxine Beaver.
