I worked with Stephen many years ago at PennDOT.  He was wonderful to work with.  I have some great memories of a really special team.  May he rest in peace and my condolences to his family - I know they were very important to him.

I had the pleasure of working with Steve at PennDOT.  He was smart, conscientious, friendly, humble, willing to assist others, and an overall joy to work with.  We had a few fun discussions over the years. He will be missed.

I had the fortune of getting to work with Steve for the past few years. Though it was only for a short time, it quickly became clear that he was one of the most intelligent, kind, and deft minds I've had the pleasure of becoming acquainted with.

He was eager to share his knowledge and aptitude with those around him. It was typical for me to approach Steve with some small innocuous question, only to be left with an impromptu lecture's worth of deeper knowledge and understanding.

He was truly a great person who's presence made the world better.

I was fortunate enough to have known and worked with Steve over the last 8 years.  Steve was a great co-worker and mentor to many people on our team.  Consummate professional through and through who always made it a priority to help others along the way.   Steve will be missed and remembered by many. I had the pleasure of working with Steve for 8 years. He was always very helpful and patient.  He was incredibly intelligent and would always share his knowledge, thoughts and ideas. Steve was a good man. He loved talking about his family. He was always so proud of his girls. Steve will be greatly missed. My sincere condolences to his family.

It was an absolute delight getting to know Steve.  He was an extremely proud father.  Every morning after his daughter's volleyball game, I'd be regaled with stories and highlights.  The smile on his face and the glow in his eyes as he told those stories was downright beautiful. 

He was so full of wit, humour, patience, and kindness.  

We had a fascinating conversation one time where he talked about a video game he was playing, and how he loved spending hours just grinding to collect resources.  

The world has grown a little smaller without your presence.  To say you'll be missed is a massive understatement.  You were a good friend, and an incredible colleague.  We battled much code and always stood victorious.  

May your new journey be full of love, joy, adventure, and kindness.  You will not be forgotten, good sir.

I worked with Steve for several years, and I always admired him.  Steve was one of the most intelligent, insightful, and capable people in the world at his craft... but rather than exhibiting even a hint of arrogance, Steve paired up his incredible capability with an equally incredible level of patience, willingness to help others, and ability to be open-minded no matter the pressure or situation.

I'm deeply sorry that we've lost Steve, and I'm thankful to have had some time with him when he was here.   Steve is an absolute legend... He will be missed.
