Susan Jean Barnhouse

Susan was a beautiful, loving, and nurturing wife, mother, Nana and friend who left a lasting impression on anyone that was lucky enough to be part of her life.

Susan loved spending time at the beach and traveling with her husband and dogs, spending time laughing with her children, son in-law, daughter in-law, grandchildren, and keeping in touch with family and friends on social media. She enjoyed cooking and baking, attending her children’s and grandchildren’s special events, and she always put others’ needs before her own.

She served her fellow humans throughout her life, spending her career protecting children while working at the Harford County Child Advocacy Center. She served as the office mom and hosted morning coffee talks where much laughter was shared between Susan and her co-workers.

There is a great void that has been created with her passing in the hearts of her loved ones, but she will live on in all their hearts and wonderful memories that they created with her.

She is now with the family that left before her, including her mother and father, Jean and Robert Weston.

Susan leaves behind so many people that loved her so very much, especially her children Jennifer Rosenfeld (Fox) and Justin Fox, her husband Jacob “Sonny” Barnhouse, along with their loving pets, Jake and Mindy.

In addition, she will be remembered by Jennifer’s husband, Andy Rosenfeld and their children, Tanner Harkins and his wife Hayden, Nathan and Maxwell, and Justin’s loving girlfriend, Jamie Peck, as well as Sonny’s daughter, Traci Sheely her husband Mike, Traci’s children, Savannah Dietz her husband Brian, Susan’s great-granddaughter Autumn, Arianna Moretz her husband Tanner, Susan’s great-grandson expected in August and Trista Graham.

Susan, Mom, Ma, Nana, Mom Mom Sue, we are so grateful for your love and for being part of your life. We will never forget what an amazing human being you were and how much better you made our lives in this world. We are so very sad, and hurting, but we will live our lives for you moving forward.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
