Theodore Charles Kolodzey

On March 28, 2025, Theodore "Ted" Charles Kolodzey passed away in Rising Sun, Maryland, at the age of 43. Ted was born in Boulder, Colorado on November 20, 1981, the son of James and Ann Braithwaite Kolodzey. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Delaware in 2007 and was married later that year. Ted had a life-long passion for art and creative expression. He wrote two unpublished children’s books about youngsters who met friendly dragons and he painted many pictures. He applied his love of art to a career in computer web design.

Ted is survived by his parents James and Ann, his siblings Jennifer Brennan and William Kolodzey, and his three children, Audrey, Emmett, and Lucy, and their mother Rachel. He will be missed by many family members and friends.

Ted had an inner spark of warmth that touched everyone he met. It was deeply important to Ted for family members, both near and far, to remain close in their thoughts and supportive of each other. Ted’s ashes will be spread by a small family group, and a memorial service will be held at 11 am on May 10, at the Grace Bible Chapel, in Rising Sun, Maryland. The best way to remember Ted and honor his life is to reach out with warmth and to love one another.
