Born on December 15, 1932, in Duryea, Pennsylvania, to the late Joseph and Mary (Lucarelli) Martinelli.
Yolanda lived a life filled with love and dedication. She was the office manager at Hershey’s International
and later served as the Boro Secretary for York Springs Boro. Her strong work ethic and commitment
to her community left a lasting impact on those she worked with.
Beyond her professional life, Yolanda found immense joy in her family and personal passions. She was
known for her incredible talent in the kitchen, especially for making pasta and preparing delicious Italian
meals that brought loved ones together. She cherished entertaining family and friends, creating
countless memories around the dining room table. An avid collector of rooster figurines, she took pride
in her unique collection. Traveling and beach vacations were among her favorite pastimes, allowing her
to explore new places while enjoying the company of those she held dear.
Faith played an important role in Yolanda’s life. A Christian with Catholic roots, she attended Trinity Lutheran Church in York Springs, where she found spiritual fulfillment and community.
Yolanda is survived by Robert Megonnell, her loving husband of 41 years; her children David Aiello, Kathy Aiello, Kim Aiello, Robert Aiello and William Aiello; her stepchildren Michael Megonnell (Sharon) and Renee Anderson (Robert); as well as 19 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Sarah Lamar and brother, Arthur Martinelli. She was preceded in her passing by her sons Michael Aiello and James Aiello; her grandson Christopher Aiello; her great-grandson Austyn Aiello; her sister Connie Merrick and brothers Frank and Joseph Martinelli.
A Celebration of Life will be held on April 4, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM (Service at 4:00 PM,
Reception to follow) at the York Springs Fire Co 1 Social Hall, located at 312 Main St., York Springs,
Pennsylvania, 17372.
Yolanda’s legacy of love and generosity will be cherished forever by those who knew her. May her
memory bring comfort to all who mourn her passing.
