A daughter of the late Roscoe and Ethel Moore Shanklin, she was born on August 21, 1927 in Enid, Oklahoma. She was an only child, raised by family members including Aunt Minnie.
Rosemary was a member of Summit Church of the Brethren and had worked as a Quality Control Inspector at AMP. She loved lighthouses, her beach time in Ocean City, MD and eating crabs in Pope’s Creek, MD.
Surviving are two daughters, Sharon Coomer and husband, Bill, of Louisville, KY; and Cindy Fierstein and husband, Steven, of Broomfield, CO; two granddaughters, Ashlei Roa-Merrill and husband, Tony of Ft. Collins, CO, and Alexis Fierstein of Broomfield, CO; a daughter-in-law, Jane Lamb of Staunton, VA, and step-grandchildren, Juli-Anna Hendricks and Jason Hendricks, both of Staunton, VA; and one step-great-granddaughter, Olivia Merrill of Cheyenne, WY.
She was preceded in death by the father of her children, Eugene Randolph Lamb and her son, Stephen “Skeeter” Lamb.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am at Lindsey Funeral Home in Harrisonburg.
Her body was cremated at Lindsey Funeral Home and her cremains will be taken to Oklahoma for final disposition.
