Words can not express my deepest condolences for your loss. Al was one of the sweetest and most caring people I have ever met. He was a loving husband to his wife Gina, a wonderful father to his children and grandchildren, and the best friend a person could ever ask for. I will never forget him and his wonderful outgoing personality that you could not help but love about Al. My thoughts and prayers are with you Gina. May God put his hands on your family and help you all find strength during this difficult time.

To the Alfaro Family. My deepest condolences on the recent passing of Alfred. We (Perez') have been long time family friends and were deeply sadden when we heard of Alfred's passing. Alfred was best friends with my brother David and know he was sadden when he heard of his passing. I also know deep down he wished Alfred would have come home to California to be buried but understand his home was now Louisiana. We have known the Alfaro's for so, so many years and were neighbors back in the day when they lived on Canal Street in Planada. I always remember Alfred hanging out with my brother and Roy Martinez. I personally had not seen Alfred in many years but still considered him an old and dear friend. God Bless all of you and I pray that the Lord give you the strength to get through this very difficult time. Please know that he will never be forgotten by all those he grew up with in Planada and LeGrand. RIP Alfred.

I remember when i met Big Al. He was "just someone who came over" one day. Little did i know, he would be a friend of mine for life. Big was his heart. He took excellent care of his wife Gina Alfaro. She will miss him for the rest of her life as "a great husband, a great father" Mr.Al was one of my best friends, and I too will miss him, until i see him face to face in heaven. May God rest his soul, he was an awesome friend to me,
God bless you all ~ james wright

My family sends thoughts and prayers to Al's family. My brother Tommy and I grew up with Al from the 5th grade for me thru our time at Le Grand High School. Al and I played baseball thru high school together, where he was nick named "Hips" because JV Coach Robbinson (I hope I rememberd his correct name) would always holler at Al when he was pitching "USE YOUR HIPS!" :) I have many fond memories of Al. He touched my life in a positive way. He will be truly missed by everyone who knew him. May God bless his family.

G-
You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. Losing a love one is devastating, but take comfort in the fact that Al has gone home and is resting comfortably with Jesus. Al was a wonderful man and this world grieves the loss of his Big heart and smile.
Love you and God bless,
