Katrena "Kitty" Cicerone
November 3, 1927 – March 21, 2021
Katrena Faye ('Kitty') Cicerone passed away March 21, 2021 in Charlotte, NC. She was 93 years old. A life-long resident of Shreveport, Kitty was a Louisiana native from Anacoco where she grew up with 7 brothers and sisters. She attended McNeese State
Kitty was a life-long member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church where she sang in the choir. With four children, she was a full-time Mom for much of her life. As an Air Force wife, she dealt with numerous moves around the U.S. and out of the country and continued actively traveling in her retirement years.
Much of her working career was spent with the U.S. Postal Inspection Service in Shreveport where she retired after 15 years. Her favorite past times included gardening, bridge, bowling and reading.
She is survived by her three children: David "Hank" Cicerone of Huntington Beach, CA; Candace "Mamie" Dixon of Greenville, NC and Patricia "Pat" Johnson of Charlotte, NC. Her family includes 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Kitty was preceded in death by her husband, Angelo J. "Andy" Cicerone and eldest daughter, Sherry Elaine Wimpy of Bossier City, LA.
A graveside service is planned for 1:30 pm on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Hill Crest Memorial Park in Haughton, LA.

I have fond memories of your mother , her kindness and sweet spirit. The best was when she showed me an airline ticket for her to visit you anytime!

Hank, so sorry to learn of your mom's passing. You were always such a great guy, and I know she raised you right! I remember your family from St. Paul's church days. Both my parents have died and it is hard to wrap my head around the fact that we are the old folks now. Would love to catch up with you after all these years!
