IN THE CARE OF
Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home & Park
A graveside service for Mary Joan Dedeke Bute, 86, will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at Hill Crest Memorial Park, with Pastor Sig Kunz officiating.
Mary was born on February 19, 1936, in Concordia, Missouri to Walter C. Dedeke and Mabel Marie Roepe Dedeke, and went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 4, 2022.
She married her soul mate, Porter Bute, in 1954, and was a military wife for 21 years. Mary was strong and independent and gracefully cared for home and family during the many times military duty called Porter away. She was involved in her church by singing in the choir, teaching Sunday school, Vacation Bible School, attending Bible Class and doing whatever else she was called to do.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Porter Bute; her parents; daughter, Christine Bute; two sons, Michael and Christopher Bute; and two brothers. She is survived by two sons, Nathan and Alan Bute; two daughters, Kathryn Cobb and Deborah Rowell; many grand and great-grandchildren.
“For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in Heaven, not built by human hands.” 2 Cor. 5:1
