Virginia Ermadean Lamb Festavan, 90, was called home to be with the Lord on June 2, 2021. She was born May 5, 1931, in Haynesville, Louisiana to John William Lamb of Texas and Lillie May Fike Lamb of Alabama. She was preceded in death by her two sisters, Esther Harp and Odell Smith, and brother, Ellis Lamb.

Virginia is loved and will be missed by her children, Julie Powell, Denise DeLony and husband, Andy, and Ronald Morris Festavan. She was blessed with five grandchildren, Gregg Reeder, Cody Reeder, Jodie DeLony White, Patrick DeLony, and Melissa Vogel, and seven great-grandchildren, Jordan Denler, Cole Denler, Anderson White, Todd Reeder, Travis Barnhill, Jacob Stearn, and Wyatt Vogel, along with many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home in Haughton, Louisiana. Visitation will be Saturday, June 5, 2021, from 5 until 7 p.m. Funeral services will be Sunday, June 6, 2021, at 2 p.m. and officiated by Bro. Billy Crosby.

Virginia was a born-again believer that made sure her children grew up at the Queensborough Baptist Church and received the wonderful gift of salvation. After her children were all in school, she went back to school and became a Louisiana Practical Nurse, and in the early 70's returned back to school to become a Registered Nurse. Over 35 years of her career were spent as a nurse in the emergency room at Willis Knighton North.

Things she enjoyed in life, were nursing, traveling, gardening, reading, playing cards, and participating with her "Red Hat" friends. She was a devoted mother, and her children will be forever grateful for making sure they got to try anything that interested them and always being there when she was needed.

"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels or demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:38-39.
