Clara Elizabeth Avila

Clara Avila, age 82, of Hemet, passed away on August 22, 2011, at her home. Mrs. Avila was born on December 06, 1928, in Lemington, Utah. She lived in Hemet 22 years. Mrs. Avila was married to loving husband, Joe Avila, for 66 years. They met during World War II in Las Vegas and lived mostly in the San Diego area until they retired in Hemet.She was a homemaker who was also a talented seamstress. She especially enjoyed camping, playing cards with her friends, an occasional game of Bingo, reading, and her family. Some of her favorite memories were from the eight years she and Joe traveled full time and lived in their trailer. It was their great adventure.She is survived by her husband Joe Avila; a son, D’Wayne Avila; a daughter, Toni Martes; a son-in-law, Thomas Martes; two grandchildren, Michele Martes and Brian Martes; a grand daughter-in- law, Alena Martes, two great grandchildren, Logan Martes and Isabella Martes; a sister, Helen Mairs and Sandra Meacher; and a sister-in-law, Rosalie Harvey.Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Mc Wane Family Funeral Home, 350 N.
