I remember meeting Tia Estela when I was very young... I think 8 or 9 years old . As a little girl at the time, I was very silly and I was always wondering why adults were so serious all the time, I’ll never forget her playful smile as she opened the door to greet us. She was so fun and had a great sense of humor, something that I had thought was lost on most adults at the time.. She was a breath of fresh air wrapped in a wonderful smell of sweet perfume. She had two big sliding mirror doors in the living room that she would use as a prop to entertain my brother and I. She would go behind it and stick one leg out. In the mirror, it would double and it appeared as if she was a fish swimming in water with nothing holding her up. She even would do the funny fish faces and everything to complete the illusion.. She made everything into a little game or some little spanish rhyme or riddle.. I will always cherish those memories! Thank you Tia for being you and for being so much fun! May you find peace now with our Lord and give my dad un besito para mi! ❤️❤️ ❤️ Te amo! —Monica Maria

I will always remember Tía Estela for her laughter and hospitality. Whenever we would visit she would always kiss me on the cheek, invite me inside, and make me a mango shake. She was always really funny and full of life; the last memory I have of her is when we visited her in 2014 and she told us that she used to hand-feed the iguanas that lived in her backyard. My condolences to all who have been bereft of her. Que Dios consuele a todo corazón.

Tia Estela and I had many laughs whenever we were together. I found her humorous and she found me worthy of being poked fun of. I will really miss her.

Carice, Chelsey, Sebastian, & Gabby,
My condolences. Your grandmother, my great aunt, was a great woman. She was always nice to me whenever I visited and had a heartful of love. She always had a joke, a story, and something with leopard print on it. She occupies a special place in my heart and I will always remember her with fondness.
Love,
Josh
