Dear Azua Family, Extended Family, 
Our deepest sympathies and condolences to you All for the passing of your father John E.  Azua Sr.  He was and always will be a wonderful, responsible, loving and generous from the heart Family man.
The weekly visits to church, the outdoor gatherings with family and friends, how he was and always will be a loving, sincere and extremely supporting husband, father, grandfather, father-in-law, friend, etc..,  these touch the inner-most memories of his kindness, courage, and endurance through the years, and he will always be remembered in the highest light. May he Rest In Peace with his wife, daughter, mother-in-law, his parents…,
and may his memory shine upon us, that we may all learn from his peaceful life and enduring legacy. Peace to all family and friends.

Grandpa,

Thank you for being an amazing father and grandfather to your family. I will always cherish the memories of us playing by the pool at your house every summer with Selena and Christina Aguilera playing over the radio. We would spend all day there swimming and stay all the way until dinner when Grandma would put out her arroz con pollo for dinner. I remember I asked you once to quiz me on my Spanish and you ended up quizzing me on the capitals of countries in Spanish when I barely knew them in English. 

I loved getting to go to your house to see all of the photos and souvenirs from the many places you had traveled to. Every item in your collection came with a story and a memory. I remember interviewing you for a project I was working on in college. I was in awe of all the things that you had experienced in your life. How you traveled to this country to start a new life knowing almost no English, how you swept Grandma off her feet when she was supposed to be married to another man, and how together you created a life for yourselves and your four children.  I wish I still had those audio recordings I had made so I could hear those stories and hear your voice again. You always had a wealth of wisdom to share with me even if I was maybe too young to fully understand the life lessons you were imparting on me. 

You and Grandma had a love for each other that many people won’t get to experience in their lifetimes. I can remember the sound of Grandma crying for you when you had to have heart surgery. And I will always remember how intently you looked after her once she started to get sick. It comforts me to know that you’re both together now. Probably dancing together.

I will always miss you, but I will think of you always. I know that you and Grandma are looking out for all of us. I love you so much.

October 2022 - His sister Blanca visiting again from AZ. Sadly this is the last time they saw each other.

2018 - At Tio Humberto & Rosa’s home in Boston. Here’s Tio John dancing with his sister, my mom Blanca. He loved dancing whether in a ballroom or narrow kitchen with a live band or iPhone. He did it with such passion.  Just like my mom.     (Unmute video to hear)

Partners in crime, Tio John & cousin Anneliese. 💕 Spent many fun filled weekends with these two sharing laughs and indulging in delicious meals made by Annie herself or at our favorite restaurants.

When he could no longer dance on his feet we used our arms.  Praise the Lord he no longer has any limitations.

Tio John lived a full and adventurous life. He enjoyed sharing stories of his travels as much as he enjoyed his coffee and sweets.

Dear Daddy,
How much I miss you already…thank you for being such a great dad to me. How many times you would drive me to the ER, to see my drs & when I wasn’t feeling well you would make me one of your delicious soups. My plan was to come visit you and tell you the great news that I got a double lung transplant on 10/27. Unfortunately our Heavenly Father took you to heaven so I couldn’t tell you the great news…but I believe you know. I miss & love you so much. xoxoxox

A Friend and fellow Brother Knight of Columbus.   Thank you for all you did for so many people and your family.
A great husband, father and friend.  His contribution to the Knights of Columbus and his Parish, Our Lady of Mercy can not be numbered.  
He lived the Principles of the Knights of Columbus, Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism during his life.   
What a dancer, at every party, he would literally  takeout  his dancing shoes  and put on a show.  We know he is now dancing with the Angels in heaven.  We will miss his voice in the Choir at OLM Mass.
We pray that during our life time we can be more like our Brother Knight John Azua and leave the positive impressions that he did.
We will all miss our Friend John may his soul rest in peace.
