Leroy and I were in the same class going through school. Lloyd and I moved away for 47 years, returning 3 years ago. I didn’t have the opportunity to reunite with Leroy after we moved back but we did get to know Brian, his son. Brian is like family for Lloyd and I. We’re sure Leroy was so very proud of Brian, as proud as we are of him. Brian provided Leroy with a beautiful, intelligent granddaughter, Hannah. Hannah has always tried to share time with Leroy when she's in the area. I know they are both feeling the loss of father and grandfather. We can only pray for their own feeling of loss. But they can rejoice in Leroy's place in Heaven awaiting the time when they join him again one day. We love you, Brian and Hannah.

I will forever remember LeRoy singing "New Kid In Town" in our Christmas program. It was beautiful and he was so humble as he sang. He was a true man of God and he made a lasting impression on me. I will forever remember him fondly. Love and prayers to my friend, Linda.

To the Troxel Family;

Leroy will be missed. He was a great asset to the City of High Point and to the High Point Police Department, as he donated his time (23 years) to serve in the capacity of a Reserve Police Officer. It is a tough job for those Officers who are paid to do the job, but it speaks volumnes as to someone who spends many hours, nights, weekends and Holidays (away from his own family) to do the same job for no payment, except knowing that they have helped people, sometimes in there darkest hour.

We enjoyed having Leroy and Linda join us at our Retirees breakfast when he was able to. God Bless the family and we look forward to seeing Leroy again with all the other Retirees who have gone before us.
