I would like to send my condolences to the family. Max was a good man, and as he had described himself to me before, just a good ol country boy. He opened a door for me that gave me an opportunity to get my professional life on track, and I will always be grateful for that. I am sorry I will not be able to travel for the services. My family and myself send our prayers and thoughts to the family. Nicholas, Amber Morris, Matthew and Alan Joyner.

I remembered when the Carden family lived in my hometown of Tarboro, North Carolina. I never knew Max personally. I knew the rest of the family. They were nice people. My prayers are with all the family.
