Peggy McDowell

Peggy was born in High Point, August 29, 1933, a daughter of the late Elmer and Nay Mechum Norman. She retired from the Fairview Elementary School cafeteria after 25 years of service. Peggy was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Dale McDowell in 2005. She then moved to Florida to be with her daughter in 2006.

Surviving are a daughter, Linda Williams and her husband Clark; a son, Tony McDowell and wife Edie; five grandchildren, Brandy Riccelli, Summer Lark, Lance Lowe, Ellie McDowell and Emma McDowell; three great-grandchildren; a brother, J. W. Norman.

A graveside service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Floral Garden Park Cemetery by Rev. Dr. Jim Summey. The family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home Sunday from 12:30 until 1:45 p.m. Online condolences may be made at davisfuneralsandcremations.com.
