He enjoyed going on mission trips to Honduras with his Dad who was one of the founders of the Honduras Baptist Medical Dental Evangelism Missions. My heart is broken for all of you. I well remember the arms of a little three year old boy around my neck in the three year old kindergarten class at FBC Laurel. He was so full of life and joy! I know the impact of a life well lived will live on. My love to all of you. Cheryl Jefcoat

I'm so devastated and heartbroken to hear that Birch is gone. He and I grew up together since we were 8 yrs old in our neighborhood on Glennwood Dr. and would always tell people how long we've been friends and how close we have been especially the last few years and oh the stories we had growing up !!! We talked more this year but over the last few helped each other get thru some tough times, he was so easy to confide in, gonna miss that sweet voice. I'd try to come visit as often as I could to stay, he had a way of making me feel comfortable around him and anyone we would hang out with or meet, people loved him even if they'd just met him, he had such a likable personality that way and so fun to be around. Lastly I know that in the end he was happy and in love again, i hope that brings comfort to those who loved him like I did, it does me. He was and always will be one of my best friends and like many I will feel his loss forever.....RIP Birch Jones, i love you , til we meet again my beautiful friend ❤💯

Birch was like a brother. We were both Vols for life and could talk for hours about football and hunting. I still can’t believe that he is gone. But he will never be forgotten
