Jerry was a graduate of Spencer High School and went on to serve in the U.S. Army. He joined Oakwood Baptist Church in 1963, serving the church for over 45 years.
Jerry enjoyed metal detecting and going on mission trips. Jerry retired from Norfolk-Southern Railroad after 43 years.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Sue, and two sisters, Margaret Adams and Rachel Easler.
He is survived by his children, Lewis (Debbie) Frick, Rev. Larry (Catherine) Frick, Janie (Jesús) Frick-Ayala; 5 grandchildren, Charity (Jeremy) Langley, Candice (Claytor) Thompson, Dr. Caleb (Keaton) Frick, D.D.S., Drew Frick and Henry Frick; 10 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Alice Barnett.
A family graveside service was held Wednesday, April 7th at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
