Marion Taub Elliott-Houvener of Chattanooga, Tennessee passed away on May 18 while surrounded by her family and friends. Marion was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan and attended Alma College where she studied nursing. Marion dedicated her life to raising her children and was very active in scouting and civic affairs. She is a past president of the Sequoyah Women’s Club. Marion was an avid Tennessee Titans fan and collected numerous team memorabilia.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bruce and Eva Stout, and husbands, Calvin Taub and James Elliott.
She is survived by her husband of 11 years, Donald Houvener; son, Bruce (Sylvia) Taub of Ringgold, Georgia; daughter, Dr. Diane Taub of Lafayette, Indiana; grandson, Brian Taub of Palm Springs, California; and step-son, Robert (Shelly) Houvener of Sterling Heights, Michigan.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, May 20 from 2 pm to 4 pm at Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel.
A visitation will be held on Monday, May 21 prior to the funeral service from 10 am to 11 am with the funeral service following immediately after at 11 am.
Burial will take place at Lakewood Memorial Gardens, East in Chattanooga following the funeral service.
It is requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to foreign missions through your church.
